The term ‘green lanes’ is only descriptive and has no legal meaning. Many are defined as rights of way or highways, and those that remain unclassified are currently known as ‘lost’. This illustrated talk on the history and development of these lanes is essential viewing for those interested in country walking or researching rights of way.
Original documents from the archives will also be exhibited for attendees.
Presented by renowned local historian Heather Hurley, author of The Green Lanes of Herefordshire (2010).
