1) Friday 5th November 5.6 miles walking parish paths HO4, HO8, HO1 (Temporary path) and the link to Pipe & Lyde path PL9 to check a circuit for a parishioner planning to use these paths. Due to extremely muddy conditions on the link to PL9 the advice was not to attempt the planned walk until the ground had dried out more.
The signs for the temporary path HO1 have all either faded or disappeared.
The Parish Clerk checked with Balfour Beatty to find out when it expected the paths to be reinstated and was advised that the PL9 path closure notice had been extended until the end of March 2020.
This is a bit of a mystery because Welsh Water have filled in all the holes and trenches that were created for pipe renewal (see picture)

The stile at the top of path HO4 (which goes north from Highfield House) was cleared and the cross step firmed up.
Path HO8 (from Roman Road to Attwood Lane) had a stream running down most of its length again – so only suitable for walkers with waterproof boots! Overhanging vegetation was cut back but the leaning fence near Roman Road still poses a danger to the public due to the risk of collapse.
2) Sunday 24th November walked just 0.5 miles doing clearance work on path HO10 near Ivydene and at the Shelwick Lane end. Much of the vegetation on the path alongside the ditch down to Shelwick Lane had been cleared by someone – thank you for that.

Thanks for everything you do such a fabulous job! H08 is a concern to me. The stream is ? A natural spring? Are there plans to channel the water at all? What could we do to restore the path? Regarding the collapsing fence has anyone contacted the owner? Kind regards.
